Carrot prices in Ukraine have increased 2.6 times in a year: experts named the reasons

Selling prices for carrots in Ukraine continue to grow, and this increase in price is due to increased demand from wholesalers and retail chains. This is reported by EastFruit. According to experts, Ukrainian carrot producers are confidently increasing selling prices for their products. Experts add that since the beginning of the week, carrots have increased in price to 23-30 UAH per kg, depending on the quality and volume of the offered batches of products, which is on average 15% more expensive than at the end of the last working week. Producers argue for the increase in prices in this segment with several reasons at once. The upward price trend is associated with a reduction in the supply of substandard products, since supplies from unequipped warehouses have fallen to a minimum. Demand for carrots remains active.
