Vietnam's cashew exports in September 2022 decreased by 25.5% in volume and 31.4% in value compared to the same period last year, reaching 38.32 thousand tons and $234.36 million respectively. The first nine months of 2022 saw a decrease in both volume and value of cashew exports by 11.1% and 14.4% respectively, compared to the same period in 2021, totaling 380.53 thousand tons and $2.28 billion. The average export price of cashew nuts in September 2022 was $6,116/ton, marking the highest since December 2021. However, this is still a decrease of 8.0% compared to the same month in 2021. The exports to most key markets, including Italy, United Arab Emirates, Germany, and the United States, also decreased in September 2022 compared to the same month in 2021.
