Due to adverse weather conditions, fishing in the Black Sea has decreased, leading to almost double the fish prices, particularly for anchovy which has reached 120 lira from its previous price of 50 lira. Fishermen from Ordu state that fishing is continuing in Sinop and Zonguldak Ereğli, but at a reduced level, causing the high prices. The scarcity of fish and cold weather are contributing to the high prices, with expectations of further decreases in anchovy availability.
