Certificate facilitates export of fish from Brazil

Fider Pescados, the only tilapia producer in Brazil with a Best Aquaculture Practice (BAP) certificate, renewed its certification and plans to export tons of tilapia fillets to the United States between October and November. The certification covers both the cultivation farm and the slaughterhouse, being granted by the Global Aquaculture Alliance (GAA). This highlights the company's commitment to complying with the standards of the BAP program, which is a recognized global aquaculture certification program. “The most relevant factor in applying the BAP standard is to make its principles part of the company's routine, bringing benefits not only to the product, but also to everyone involved in the production process.
