The Government announced on Tuesday important changes within the National Yerba Mate Institute (INYM) under Resolution 146/2025, approved by the Board of the agency and published in the Official Bulletin, which repealed and modified a series of central regulations that governed the activity. Starting with this measure, three key resolutions were repealed, the sanctioning regime linked to sworn statements was modified, and it was confirmed that the role of the INYM must be limited to quality control, traceability, and the wholesomeness of the product, without intervening in the formation of prices or in the free private initiative. This last point had been established in Decree 812/2025, which took away the agency's ability to set the value of the raw material received by producers.
