The Peruvian government, led by Vice-Minister Chavimovic, is working towards revitalizing agricultural exports by promoting the cultivation of blackberries and pomegranates, with a focus on the Chavimochic megaproject. This initiative is expected to boost agricultural supply and open new markets, potentially including the United States, European Union, and Middle East. Additionally, progress is being made in Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) with Hong Kong and China, aiming for early closure, and negotiations with Indonesia are set to begin in the later half of the year. These FTAs are set to facilitate the export of fruits, Peruvian products, and services, further bolstering Peru's agricultural sector.
