Thai tropical fruits such as mangosteen, mini durian, rattan, and rambutan are being imported into Vietnam in large quantities, leading to a surge in the market. Prices are around 30-40% lower than last year, making them competitive with Vietnamese products. This influx is attributed to the harvest season in Thailand and a decrease in shipping costs. The Vietnam Fruit and Vegetable Association reports an 14% increase in fruit and vegetable import turnover in the first 5 months of the year, with Thailand's fruit and vegetable exports to Vietnam also seeing a 5% increase.
