Cheese production in Russia has nearly doubled over the past decade, reaching over 800 thousand tons last year, as highlighted by Oksana Lut, head of the Russian Ministry of Agriculture, at the Cheese Festival in the Moscow region. Russian cheese makers now meet domestic demand and are expanding exports. The number of farm cheese dairies in Russia has surpassed a thousand, with efforts to increase global recognition of Russian cheese brands. The festival featured around 300 participants from over 50 regions, including Rostov, Belgorod, Bryansk, Voronezh, Kursk, Crimea, and Krasnodar Territory.
