[Korean Farmers and Fishermen Newspaper, Reporter Jo Sung-je] As Cheongsong County faces the full-scale apple harvest season, it is launching the "Autumn Rural Labor Support" initiative to help local farms struggling with a labor shortage. In this regard, Cheongsong County has selected elderly people, long-term hospitalized patients, and farms affected by forest fires, among others who face difficulties in labor supply, as the primary support targets for this labor support. It is planned that around 200 officials from various departments and divisions of the Cheongsong County Office, as well as service organizations, will participate from the end of October to mid-November. Particularly this year, due to the unprecedented forest fire damage in the Gyeongbuk region and the rise in labor costs, the burden on farms has increased.
