(Cheorwon=Yonhap News) Reporter Yang Ji-woong = The Gangwon Cheorwon Agricultural Technology Center announced on the 16th that it will conduct a Class 1 drone license training for farmers who want to acquire new agricultural technologies.
The training targets farmers in Cheorwon County and plans to select 20 participants on a first-come, first-served basis.
The drone license training will consist of a total of 60 hours of lectures, including academic theory, simulation, and flight practice, scheduled to run from early July to the end of October over four months.
The Agricultural Technology Center plans to support approximately 1 million won, which is half of the education expenses, to the trainees.
Trainees can proceed more efficiently with the certification process by taking theoretical and practical exams at a specialized drone education institution.
To participate in the training, interested individuals can visit the Agricultural Technology Center or apply via email by the 20th of this month, submitting an application form, pledge, resident registration copy, and agricultural management confirmation document.

Kim Mi-kyung, director of the Cheorwon Agricultural Technology Center, said, "In addition to drone education, we will provide various educational programs needed in agricultural settings, including small construction machinery, various national certifications, and item-specific ongoing education for farmers."
