The Government of Andalusia has made the agri-environmental aid for chestnuts compatible with subsidies for organic farming, allowing eligible producers to almost double their aid to nearly 500 euros per hectare. Around 323 owners of chestnut farms, covering a total of around 3,200 hectares, will receive de minimis aid due to the drought. The Andalusian Government plans to maintain agri-environmental aid for chestnut trees until 2028, with a budget of one million euros allocated for subsidies.
