Chicago rise does not reach Southern wheat

The strong appreciation of quotations on the Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) this Monday did not reflect in the export prices of Brazilian wheat, according to information from TF Agroeconômica. The scenario of stability, with little reaction in the ports and a retraction of buyers in the domestic market, marked the beginning of the week for the wheat sector in the South region. In Rio Grande do Sul, export prices remained at R$ 1,170.00 per ton on wheels at the Port of Rio Grande, for milling wheat with 12% protein, which would equate to values between R$ 1,000.00 and R$ 1,020.00 in the interior. The absence of deals between local mills and producers kept the market stagnant, with buyers offering up to R$ 1,000.00 and sellers asking for R$ 1,050.00 to R$ 1,100.00. In producer markets, the average price per sack fell slowly, being registered at R$ 59.00 in Santa Rosa and R$ 60.00 in Panambi.
