The Brazilian government has announced a significant achievement in international trade, with Papua New Guinea approving the export of poultry meat, mechanically separated chicken meat, and boneless beef cuts from Brazil. This breakthrough, following intensive negotiations initiated in 2020 for poultry and 2022 for beef, marks a milestone for Brazilian agribusiness, providing access to a market of 9 million people in Oceania. The success is attributed to the collaborative efforts of the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (Mapa) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MRE), and signifies Brazil's 119th market opening in 2024, with a total of 197 new opportunities in 59 countries since 2023.
