Chicken meat exports in Brazil remain up 6.5% in 2023

Surveys by the Brazilian Animal Protein Association (ABPA) show that Brazilian exports of chicken meat (considering all products, including fresh and processed) totaled 3.905 million tons between January and September this year. The number exceeds the total shipped in the same period last year by 6.5%, with 3.666 million tons. In revenue, the increase reached 2.8%, with US$7.578 billion in the first nine months of 2023, against US$7.373 billion in the same period of 2022. Considering only the month of September, shipments of chicken meat reached 397.1 thousand tons, a volume 0.7% lower than that recorded in the same period last year, with 400 thousand tons shipped.
