Chile advances in agreements to export more fruit to Vietnam

The Chilean Agricultural and Livestock Service (SAG) held a meeting in Hanoi with representatives of the Vietnamese Plant Quarantine Department (PPD), with the aim of coordinating agreements to continue advancing in opening the Vietnamese market to various Chilean agricultural products. The meeting was attended by the Chilean ambassador to Vietnam, Sergio Narea; the director of the PPD Plant Quarantine Division, Le Son Ha; the head(s) of the SAG Agricultural, Forestry and Seed Protection Division, Marco Muñoz; the Chilean Agricultural Attaché in that country, Rosaura Campusano, and the manager of Chilean Fruits, Miguel Canala-Echeverría. The SAG detailed that, at the meeting, progress was raised in the negotiations for access to fresh Chilean kiwi, the implementation of cold treatment for air shipments of cherries, the opening of the market for fresh blueberries and electronic certification.
