Chile's fruit export sector has experienced a boost in the 2023-24 season, with significant revenue increases in various fruit markets and a slight rise in export volume. The total export value reached $5,025 million, marking a 4.24% increase, and the export volume increased by 0.45% to 1.71 million tons. This growth is attributed to increased market competitiveness, sector relevance, and the recent opening of the Chinese market for certain fruits. The government's commitment to diversifying export destinations and modernizing existing agreements, such as the EU modernization agreement and ongoing negotiations with EFTA, the UAE, South Korea, and India, is key to enhancing the sector's growth and competitiveness.
