Chile: Value for fresh fruit exports continues to run in September

From January to September, fresh fruit exports from Chile reached 2.138 million tons, with an estimated value of 4.612 billion dollars, according to ODEPA. Compared to the same period in 2022, these exports recorded -7.3% in volume, but +11.3% in value. Cherry was the main category exported in this period of time, with a volume of 302,827 tons (+6.1% compared to the same period in 2022) and an estimated value of 1.819 billion dollars (+21.8%), corresponding to 39.4% of the total value of fresh fruit exports in the analyzed period. China is the main destination, accounting for 91.1% of the total value of Chilean cherry exports. Next, table grapes, with 495,308 tons (-18%) for an estimated value of 865.8 million dollars (+0.4%), equal to 18.8% of the total value of fresh fruit exports .
