Chile's agricultural sector has seen a significant boost in the first half of 2024, with exports exceeding $7 billion, a nearly 9% increase from the same period in 2023, as reported by ProChile Market Intelligence and the National Customs Service. This growth is attributed to the effective public-private collaboration strategy, diversification of trade agreements, and promotion of high-quality Chilean products. Fruit exports, including cherries, blueberries, plums, kiwis, and grapes, experienced substantial increases in value, particularly in key markets like China and the US. Additionally, the export of services, mainly within the ICT and maintenance and repair sectors, reached nearly $1.18 billion, marking a 30% increase from the previous year and setting a new record for the first half of the year. This performance highlights Chile's growing economic diversification and added value in the global market.
