The Chilean Stone Fruit Committee forecasts a 15% rise in total export volume of stone fruits this season, reaching over 35 million boxes. This includes a 13% increase in nectarine exports, with white-fleshed nectarines seeing a 26% rise, a 16% increase in Japanese plum exports, and a 23% increase in prune exports. However, peach exports are expected to slightly decrease by 1%. The committee plans to enhance marketing activities, especially in the US and China. Chile is globally the third largest exporter of peaches and nectarines, and the largest in the Southern Hemisphere.
