China boosts local production and sales of Jiashi plums

According to Southern Metropolis Daily in July, the “2024 Kashgar, Xinjiang, China Jiashi Xinmei Thousand Miles Tour” publicity and promotion event was held at Jiangmenghui Market in Guangzhou, seeking to boost the purchase of Jianshi plums. At the event venue, the Jiashi County People's Government signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Guangzhou Jiangfenghui Market. The Kashgar Prefecture Xinmei Industrial Association has also reached cooperation intentions with several local buyers in Guangzhou. Lou Qiang, member of the Standing Committee of the Jiashi County Party Committee and minister of the Propaganda Department, said that according to statistics, the total area of new plum plantations across the country is about 1.1 million hectares.
