The Ministry of Agriculture of Kazakhstan clarified the situation with the restriction on the import of feed flour by China and announced the resumption of supplies. "When exporting feed flour of Kazakh origin to the People's Republic of China at the 'Altynkol-Khorgos' checkpoint, the General Customs Service of the PRC temporarily detained 62 containers of products. According to the Chinese side, the reason for the delay was the non-compliance with the particle size requirements of the feed flour, as an excess of the permissible fraction above 1.2 mm was recorded. This excess is due to the increased boron content in the composition of the products. At the same time, in all other respects and phytosanitary requirements, the feed flour fully complies with the standards required for products for sale on the PRC market," the Ministry of Agriculture said. After conducting explanatory work, providing relevant laboratory reports and accompanying documents by the Kazakh side, the issue was resolved.
