1,600 high-quality New Zealand dairy sheep arrived in Lanzhou City and will undergo a 45-day quarantine before being transported to Tangshan City, Hebei Province for milk production. This marks the first time China has imported the Southern Cross dairy sheep known for their high milk yields and milk quality. The latest breed, developed by New Zealand's Maui Food Group, can produce milk up to 240 days per year, with one sheep producing 600 to 700 liters of milk per year.
