Chinese beer exports experienced an 11.7% increase in volume and an 8.3% increase in value from January-July compared to the previous year, reaching 376 million liters and $259 million respectively. However, in July, there was a decrease of 3.3% in volume and 6.4% in value. Taiwan is the primary market for Chinese beer exports, accounting for 26% of total exports, despite increasing tensions between Beijing and Taipei. China imports approximately half of its beer from the Netherlands and Germany, with the Netherlands contributing about 40% of the value. Other significant sources include Hong Kong, the United Arab Emirates, Myanmar, and Russia.
