The Agricultural Chamber of the Łódź Voivodeship (ACWŁ) has appealed to the National Council of Agricultural Chambers for intervention regarding the low price of corn. "The ACWŁ Office is receiving numerous signals from farmers on this issue. The starting price of corn is around 425 PLN per ton at 30 percent moisture. This price decreases by 10 zlotys for every 1 percent of moisture above 30 percent. This price does not cover production costs. Moreover, some farmers are forced to harvest corn because they have nowhere to dry it," stated the November appeal of the Łódź agricultural self-government.
