Vietnam's cephalopod exports to China and Hong Kong in Q4 2023 saw a 5% increase from the previous year, reaching 27 million USD. Squid products were the primary export, making up 86% of total cephalopod exports. Despite a decrease in squid exports by 9%, octopus exports grew by 17%. The export value of live, fresh, and frozen squid increased by 57%, while processed octopus and dried, salted, live, fresh, and frozen octopus saw increases of 30% and 14% respectively. The growth trend in cephalopod exports to China is expected to continue into Q1 2024.
