China investigates effects of increased beef imports

China is set to impose import duties on beef from Brazil, Argentina, and Australia. Brazil is the largest supplier of beef to China, accounting for half of its annual imports. In an effort to bolster relations with China, while also criticizing the cheap export of Chinese products, Brazil recently introduced an import duty on steel and iron from China and other Asian countries.
