China is also the fastest-growing market for shrimp products during the same period, and is the main driving force behind Vietnam's 22% increase in shrimp exports to $3.9 billion.
Shrimp exports reached $498 million in October, the highest monthly level so far this year. Exports to Mainland China and Hong Kong totaled $140 million.
China is accelerating its procurement pace to meet domestic consumption needs and provide raw materials for the processing and export industry.
Vietnam's geographical proximity, lower logistics costs, and stable supply have significantly enhanced its market competitiveness for shrimp products.
