China temporarily bans beef shipments from two US plants

China has temporarily stopped purchasing cattle meat from two US plants owned by major American cattle producers. This was reported by the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS). The reason for this measure was the presence of ractopamine in the products of both manufacturers.
