In 2023, China saw growth in both fruit imports and exports, with imports reaching $16.85 billion and exports totaling $4.98 billion. The most imported fruits were fresh durians, cherries, frozen durians, bananas, mangosteens, and coconuts, mainly from Thailand, Chile, and Vietnam. China's top exports were fresh apples, citrus, table grapes, pears, and grapefruit, primarily to Vietnam, Indonesia, Thailand, the Philippines, and Bangladesh. Vietnam was also the top overseas market for Chinese fruit in terms of export value.
