Surveys reveal that Chinese mangoes are being sold at significantly lower prices than Vietnamese mangoes in fruit shops and traditional markets, with prices between 40,000-50,000 VND per kilogram. Despite initial customer hesitation, the affordability and taste of Chinese mangoes, especially the new crow's beak variety, have led to high sales. In contrast, Vietnamese mangoes like the Hoa Loc sand variety are more expensive due to reduced supply and favorable export conditions. The import of Chinese fruits, including mangoes, plums, apples, and pears, has surged, reaching 400 million USD in the first half of the year.
