Chinese mangos, including the new Ivory variety, are being imported into Vietnam at significantly lower prices than local varieties, making them highly competitive despite a 20% price increase from last year. The Thu Duc agricultural wholesale market has reported 631 metric tons of Chinese mangos imported since early 2024. Vietnamese mango prices are higher due to decreased supply, which is expected to stabilize by September. China's fruit exports to Vietnam, including mangos, plums, apples, and pears, reached $400 million in the first half of the year, marking a 28% increase from the previous year.
