Argentina: Chubut has 10,000 tons of anchovy per year

The Federal Fisheries Council issued the first resolution of 2022 in which it created a social reserve of 30,000 tons of the Engraulis anchoíta species, as anticipated by REVISTA PUERTO in yesterday's edition. Of these, a reserve of 10,000 tons of the annual CMP is established for the stock north of the 41º parallel of South Latitude, to supply fishing projects of maximum social interest in the Province of Buenos Aires, while another reserve of 10,000 tons is created of anchovy from the CMP for the stock south of the same parallel, in this case, to serve fishing projects of maximum social interest in the province of Chubut. CFP Resolution 1/2022 fixed a third reserve of 10,000 tons per year of the same species, made up of 5,000 tons of the annual CMP for the stock north of 41º LS, and another 5,000 tons of the stock south of the same parallel to serve to fishing projects of maximum social interest of «all jurisdictions».
