The Association of Mango Producers of Alto Piura (Apromalpi), a cooperative of small mango producers in Chulucanas, Piura, has been successfully exporting kent mangoes for 24 years, with current markets including the Netherlands, France, the United States, Germany, and exploration of potential markets in Russia. Initially, the cooperative started with 40 producers and has grown to 149, bringing significant economic benefits and improving the quality of life for its members. In addition to fresh mango exports, Apromalpi also produces and exports mango pulp and dehydrated mangoes, and is set to inaugurate an IQF mango processing plant in December. The cooperative's future plans include establishing a pulp processing plant, aiming to further diversify and expand its product portfolio and market reach.
