In 2024, Vietnam managed to maintain favorable cinnamon production, with an estimated harvest of 80,000 tons, despite facing challenges from storms and floods, including Typhoon Yagi. The country saw a notable increase in its cinnamon exports, with a volume of 99,874 tons and a value of 275 million USD, marking a 12% increase in volume and a 5.2% increase in value compared to the previous year. India emerged as the largest export market for Vietnamese cinnamon, accounting for 36% of the total exports, followed by the United States with an 11% share and Bangladesh, which significantly increased its imports from Vietnam by 43%, becoming the third-largest market with an 8% share.
