September saw a significant increase in the prices of citrus fruits in Georgia, with lemon experiencing the highest increase of 30.82%, followed by oranges and tangerines at 27.58% and 26.18% respectively, compared to the same period last year. The country also imported a substantial amount of these fruits, with lemons, oranges, and tangerines imported totaling 15,715 tons worth $9.98 million from January to September. The import price per kilogram ranged from 59 cents for oranges to 65 cents for tangerines, and the retail price in Georgian supermarkets varied from 1.53 lari for tangerines to 2.90 lari for lemons.
