Climate: Argentina faces a week of contrasts

According to the latest report from the Buenos Aires Grain Exchange (BCBA), Argentina is facing a week of stark climatic contrasts, with intense heat waves in the north and an advance of polar air that is expected to cause a significant drop in temperatures and the risk of frost in various agricultural regions of the country. The climatic outlook indicates tropical winds raising temperatures across much of the territory. In northern Argentina — including the eastern NOA (Northwestern Argentina), southern Chaco Region, Misiones, northwestern Corrientes, and southeastern Paraguay — highs can exceed 35 °C, reaching over 40 °C in some spots. In the central and northern Pampas Region and northern Mesopotamia, thermometers are expected to range between 30 °C and 35 °C.
