CNI: Industry sees in navigation between Brazilian ports potential to reduce logistics cost

Among those that do not use it, one in five would adopt the mode if there were adequate transportation conditions. Despite the potential, 76% of business owners who already use navigation between ports stated that they were unaware of the Incentive Program for Transportation by Cabotage, the BR do Mar, a regulatory framework in effect since July. Among the interviewees who know the program, nine out of ten pointed out benefits, especially cost reduction, mentioned by 85% of users and 70% of those who do not use the mode.
