Coastal Offshore Gillnet Fisheries Cooperative Releases 100,000 Yellow Croaker Juveniles

The Coastal Gillnet Fisheries Cooperative (Chairman Choi Min-seok) released 100,000 yellow corvina fish larvae on June 20 in the Gwanmae Island waters of Jindo, Jeollanam-do, as part of the "Creating Hope's Sea in 2025" movement. This release project was promoted to recover marine resources and restore the ecosystem. Chairman Choi Min-seok stated, "This release event will greatly help fishermen in protecting marine resources and marine resource cultivation," and added, "We will continue to expand our release project annually to contribute to marine resource development, increased fishermen's income, and local economic revitalization."
