Coastal Offshore Gillnet Fisheries Cooperative Releases 100,000 Young Yellow Corvina Fingerlings

The Coastal Offshore Gillnet Fisheries Cooperative (Chairman Choi Min-seok) released 100,000 young croaker fish on June 20 in the waters off Gwanmae Island, Jeollanam-do, as part of the '2025 Creating Hope in the Sea Movement' (photo). On this day, Chairman Choi Min-seok stated, "This release event will greatly help fishermen in protecting and cultivating marine resources." He added, "Through the young croaker seed release project, we hope to somewhat restore the ecosystem and replenish declining fish resources, which will contribute to increasing fishermen's income and regional economic development in the future."
