From September 6 to 15, Peruvian agricultural companies participated in the Cocoa and Chocolate Show, conducting 155 business meetings with international buyers from Germany, Belgium, Canada, and other countries. The show was organized by multiple organizations, including USAID, and saw participation from cooperatives and companies mainly from the regions of Amazonas, Cusco, Huánuco, Junín, Lima, Madre de Dios, and San Martín. Half of the participants offered cocoa beans, while the other half offered cocoa derivatives. The event contributed to the growth of cocoa and derivative exports, which reached $153 million as of July, a 10% increase from the previous year. The United States, the Netherlands, Germany, Indonesia, and Belgium were the main importers.
