In the first half of 2024, Paraná's coffee exports experienced a significant surge, generating US$195.7 million, a 26.7% increase from the previous year, marking the best performance in the last twelve years. The revenue was primarily driven by the sale of instant coffee, which accounted for 76.5% of the total export revenue. This is the fourth consecutive year of growth for instant coffee exports, which have seen a steady increase from US$125 million in 2021 to US$149.7 million in 2024. The process of converting green coffee into soluble coffee not only enhances the product's value but also enables exportation to a wider range of markets. Additionally, the Paraná state government is promoting the quality of coffee production through various initiatives, such as the Paraná Coffee Quality Contest and rural tourism projects, providing technical assistance to increase producers' income.
