Coffee, water, spirits, and non-alcoholic beer are four of the ten beverage categories that have risen the most in the last seven months of 2025, as the shopping basket continues to increase in Spain, in line with the general CPI. Once again, the prices of food and non-alcoholic beverages increased by 2.7% annually as of July, which is one tenth less than the index of the previous month, according to the CPI data published by the National Institute of Statistics (INE). But coffee has risen much more in the last seven months of 2025 by 15.9%, becoming the beverage category that has increased the most so far this year. In July alone, it has risen by 1.8% compared to the previous month of 2025, confirming its gradual escalation.
