Brazilian exports of soluble coffee have seen a decrease of 4.7% in the first four months of 2022, totaling 1,221,603 bags, primarily due to the war between Russia and Ukraine, which have reduced imports of Brazilian soluble coffee by 66,572 bags. The conflict has significantly impacted the sector, with Russia ceasing imports of Brazilian soluble coffee in April and a substantial decrease in Ukrainian imports. The soluble coffee sector in Brazil is facing challenges such as logistical bottlenecks and high export costs, with the war potentially causing further losses. Despite these challenges, domestic consumption of soluble coffee in Brazil has seen a slight increase of 1.2% in the first four months of 2022.
