REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, MAKASSAR -- Deputy Chairman of the Regional Representatives Council of the Republic of Indonesia (DPD RI), Tamsil Linrung, expressed appreciation for Minister of Agriculture, Andi Amran Sulaiman, for his success in elevating the status of Indonesian farmers with his achievements. According to Tamsil, Amran has not only increased food production but also improved the welfare of farmers and positioned the agricultural sector as the main engine of the regional economy. He made this statement while launching the Senator Cares for Food Security Program with the Minister of Agriculture in Pangkajene and Islands Regency (Pangkep), South Sulawesi, on Saturday (27/9/2025).
