Colombia has secured approval from Saudi Arabia to export live cattle, a milestone achieved with support from the Ministry of Agriculture, the Colombian Agricultural Institute (ICA), and the private sector. The health authority of Saudi Arabia has accepted the final version of the zoosanitary certificate for the export of cattle, paving the way for around 100 to 120,000 animals to be exported annually. This initiative not only contributes to the economic growth of Colombia but also reflects the commitment to prevent the spread of diseases and ensure animal health. The ICA is diligently developing work plans and measures to maintain the country's sanitary status and expand international markets for Colombian livestock and agricultural products.
