Colombia concentrates 55% of Peruvian refined cane sugar shipments

Between January and May of this year, Peru exported 20,221,622 kilos of refined cane sugar with a FOB value of US$ 14,404,290, according to a report by the consulting firm Agrodata. According to this source, the main destination for this product was Colombia, where placements reached US$ 7,868,147 (55% of total shipments). Next were Ecuador with US$ 4,391,394 (30%), the United States with US$ 1,804,000 (13%), the Netherlands with US$ 174,800 (1%), and others that together totaled US$ 165,950.
