The Agriculture Fund in Bulgaria has announced that 323 rose growers will receive compensation rangeing from BGN 100 per decare until November 5, 2021, as part of the 'Aid to support the liquidity of farmers' scheme. This scheme, funded with BGN 2 million, is designed to offset the economic impact of COVID-19 on rose growers, particularly due to reduced demand for pink roses. The compensation will be directly granted to eligible farmers who are registered and have not sold flowers to processing enterprises this year, or have signed contracts but have not reached their agreed quotas. The majority of the applicants are from the Plovdiv district.
