New regulations have been implemented in Turkey for the analysis of olive oil and pomace oil, aligning them with European Union norms. The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry published a communiqué in the Official Gazette, which incorporates the Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) No. 2022/2105. Institutions and organizations conducting food analysis for official controls have been given until June 1, 2024, to comply with the new regulations, while the previous communiqué from 2014 has been repealed.
