The National Supply Company (Conab) has reported on the impact of recent floods on the fruit and vegetable supply in Rio Grande do Sul. The floods have caused significant challenges in planting, logistics, and sales, leading to the relocation of operations from the RS Supply Center in Porto Alegre to Gravataí, while Ceasa Serra in Caxias do Sul continues to operate with reduced volumes. The prolonged rainy season has also affected hardwood production and citrus fruit quality. Despite these difficulties, most product prices at Ceasa-RS have remained stable, with increases noted in arugula, kale, strawberries, and beetroot. This analysis is part of the 5th Bulletin of the Brazilian Horticultural Market Modernization Program (Prohort).
