Mexico: Conclusions of the National Industrial Hemp Forum

The document establishes protocols that help the legalization of the harvest, use and commercialization of hemp for different industries, especially in exploitation, processes and benefits Mexico City, February 2, 2022.— After having carried out the "First National Industrial Hemp Forum: Use, processes and benefits”, the Alianza Latinoamericana de la Cannabis, AC (Alcann) and the Universidad Autónoma Chapingo share an extract of the conclusions derived from this meeting, which coincide in the need to recognize the different uses of industrial hemp; the creation of official Mexican standards (NOM) and the establishment of a regulation that promotes the production and commercialization of the plant to promote the generation of new income that will favor the economic and social development of the country.
